Buildings and contents insurance will cover you against the following***:

• Fire‚ explosion‚ lightning‚ earthquake
• Storm or flood
• Collisions or impact by any vehicle‚ trains‚ aircraft or animals
• Riot or malicious damage
• Escape of water or oil from fixed installations
• Theft or attempted theft
• Falling trees‚ branches‚ telegraph poles and lamp posts
• Subsidence‚ ground heave or landslip

Extra benefits

These benefits are available 24 hours‚ 365 days a year.

24-hour domestic emergency service

A local authorised repairer will visit your home to help and you’ll be told what charges will be made before they attend. If the incident is covered by your policy‚ we’ll repay the cost‚ minus any excess‚ when settling your claim.

Detailed advice and guidance in respect of concerns about being or becoming a victim of identity theft.

24-hour legal helpline

Our legal experts can provide independent and confidential advice on any legal problem.

Optional additional voluntary excess

You can reduce your insurance premium under buildings and contents cover by agreeing to pay an additional excess of either £50 or £100 should you need to claim. Please note this is on top of the standard £25 section excess.
