Notes

i. The £10 guaranteed cold weather payment is only applicable to Single Gas or Dual Fuel customers. Customers aged 80 or over will receive £20. It will be credited as a rebate in March and will be shown on the following bill. The cold weather payment is in addition to any winter fuel and cold weather payment you may receive from the Government. Gas customers aged 60 and over may receive an additional payment beyond this guaranteed amount‚ based on the number of days the temperature is below freezing point between December and February (the temperature is taken from the Pickering Weather station in Yorkshire‚ one of the coldest places in the UK). This will now give the equivalent of an extra three hours’ gas fire heating for each qualifying day.

ii. Discount is averaged nationally and based on a standard E.ON customer‚ paying quarterly for both electricity and gas by cash or cheque‚ moving to Age Concern tariff for electricity and gas paying by fixed monthly Direct Debit.It is not payable on final bills. This includes any discounts you may already receive and is based on using 3‚300kWh of electricity and 20‚500 kWh of gas. Value of discount will vary by consumption‚ meter type‚ region and products. Valid at 31st March 2009.

iii. Not all Age Concerns offer all Age Concern products. Please check (by telephoning your local office) before arranging a visit.
